financial requirement for spouse visa - need help

Hello

I need some help with the visa regulations in regards to visas for a spouse.

I have been with my fiance now for just over 3 years and we have been engaged now for well over 1 year. Due to her work commitments we were unwilling to settle down until 2013.

As it stands i am only earning approx £12,500 - £15,000 per year. The part of the country i am from this is the average and always has been.

We had been following the previous requirements religiously since 2009 until we notice this afternoon that it had changed and that we now need myself to be earning £18,600!

We have well over 3 years worth of proof that our relationship is legit. My fiance has several (well over 15) stamps in her passport entering several EEA countries (including the UK) and her finances are sustainable for the 6 months she would be here should we be successfull in her application.

My family have offered to shelter us both for the 6 months whilst the visa would be active aswell.

Is there anything whatsoever we can do? are there any recommendations on how to improve our chances?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd like to correct you here, it's the combined income of yourself and your partner which has to be 18600 or over.

When combined does your annual income and your sponsor’s annual income from current employment meet or exceed the financial requirement you must meet?

So if, hypothetically speaking...she is earning approx £10,000, then our visa would be succesfull even though she would be leaving that job to come to the UK with me?
