New Application while the review is in progress

Post by nnj10 » Sun Feb 11, 2007 6:54 am

Dear All,

I want to send the new HSMP application, while my HSMP review application is uderway. I applied for review on 24-01-2007, and is still in consideration. I was refused for not meeting the English language requirement even though I have provided both the evidences i.e. Original Degree Certificate and Letter from the university for the Degree taught in the English language.

I have following querry.

Can I make a fresh application while my review application is underway?
if yes, what happens to my new application, if I am approved in the review application? Do I need to wait for the result of the second application?

hi nnj,

as far as I understand you are out of the country and you have no complications such as your current leave expiring, switching visas etc.,

So whats your hurry in making an application before you get the result of your earlier appeal, which will take a maximum of another week or so.

Unless there are compelling reasons for your worry, I will have to advice you that you are thinking a bit too much, which is just additional stress.

For all you know, the positive result is already in the post :-) Good luck.

Hi Webhuner,

I am out-of-country applicant.
I am approaching 27 years this april, so if the Review Application is taking too much of time, I thought I should make a fresh application.
I got a general response to my querry on status of my review application that it may take upto 14 weeks for the decision on the review applications.
I hope this is just theoretical, and I get my result by this week or by next week.

I am sure you will hear from them sooner.

However, if you think you will fall into the next age category (when the time comes), then you may want to with-draw your appeal (OR) ask for urgent treatment stating that you are moving into the next age band and hence a decision is required for you to decide about the next application. Whether or not they will accept your urgent request is a seperate story, but thats' what I would do anyway.

Good luck.

Dear Senior Members/Moderators,

can anyone please guide me on the Pros. and Cons of making a fresh application, while the review application is in progress.

I know in some cases the review is taking much more time, than it should have taken. Mine was applied on 24-Jan-07, and it is still under consideration. Moreover they give a general reply in response to the querry that review application may take upto 14 weeks. Is there any way we can ask them to expedite the review application? Mine is review on English language requirement, and I suppose, it should be the straight- forward either reject or approve, but dont know, if they re-assess the complete application, (as stated in the guidance notes)?
What does this mean, the review team is not confident at all on the decision taken on the first application?

What if I make a fresh application now?
Can somebody with similar experience share their views here?

Thanks,
NNJ10

Hi All,

The latest status on my application from HSMP Team is as below:

Dear Applicant

Your review is currently waiting to be input on to our system.

Kind Regards,
HSMP

What does this mean? Is the decision already been taken on my review application and it is just to be updated on the system or anything else?

BTW, Today, I got the valid IELTS (Academic) Band score; which unfortunately I cannot send as additional evidence to the review application, as they dont accept additional documents for the review application.

Should I try sending the IELTS Score even though.
Any suggestions?

Moderators/Senior members please help.

Thanks in anticipation,
NNJ10
