Post by london_571 » Tue Feb 06, 2007 1:29 pm

Sorry if this topic has already been discussed.
My HSMP has been approved. Now I am looking for EC.....
I have already 2 year visit visa which was expired in March 06 and I have also visited UK 6 times.Following qurries needs ur experties.
Embassy checks all records related to my previous visa.
Will this help me to get EC?
Thanks in advance

Embassy will ofcourse check all your previous records on your passort.....

If there has been no discrepancies during your visits , then its will create no problem .....

BACK_TO_GB,
QUESTION 1:The ECO will not ask you for a cancellation/expiration date on your visit visa, once your HSMP is approved and Entry Clearance is issued to you it will run alongside your visitor visa, Pls i will like you to note that ECO will ask question where the information on you visit visa does not tally with the information you supplied when making HSMP EC application.

QUESTION 2: I will suggest you read the guidance note , once you apply for HSMP EC,you will sign to make U.K your habitual residence hence your vistor's visa will no longer have much impact, as it automatically becomes a travelling/tourist paper.

True ....

Anyone having a Visit Visa or a Workpermit visa for GB previously will be advantageous in getting your EC cos all your records would already be there in the Embassy records , so they dont need to re-verify them ....

And as for the validity of the other visas once you get your HSMP-EC doen ... They will be invalidated as you declare that you will work and live and make UK your habitual residence .....

As being on HSMP you are free to Work have multiple entries adn do everythign you could on either a WP or a Visitors visa ....

Hope this helps ... :-)

BACK_TO_GB,

Every visa application has its own requirement, when applying for a visitor visa you are expected to proof that you will return after you visit, proof that you have sufficient funds for the trip, you will have to ''justify''(YOUR INTENT TO RETURN AFTER YOUR VISIT) by providing a valid employement letter, bank statement, company ID card, income tax clearance, pre arranged accomodation reciept as you desire and evidence of property ownership, if you answered YES to this in the VAF application. The information you provide when applying for a visit visa is very important not only to your HSMP EC application but to any futures dealings you will be having with the british embassy. Where there are discrepencies your application will be turned down automatically and may be lucky to get an appeal..

When applying for EC under HSMP, you will not be required to justify your intent to return to your home country,it is up to you...
Furthermore, never give an information that you can not sustain in any of your application as each visa that is issued to you may directly or indirectly affect the outcome of the other.

I hope this will help
