Tier1 (General) Extension Payslip format confusion

Post by hsmpapp » Sun Jan 06, 2013 6:21 pm

Hi All,

I have to apply for Tie1 extension soon. I switched jobs last year and thus requested my previous employer to provide payslips on company headed paper. I received payslips printed on company headed letter but they are without signature and stamp.

Is it mandatory to have signature and stamp on payslip printed on company headed letter? I have read other posts but there are mixed responses about this.

Suggest that you read the policy guidance as it gives the exact requirements.

Hi,

Below is excerpt from guidance notes:

"Payslips: These should be either formal payslips or on company headed paper. Where formal payslips are produced on plain paper they must be stamped and signed by the employer. Payslips which are not on headed paper or if the applicant receives all pay slips online, he/she must authenticate the evidence by asking the employer to sign and stamp a printout. If the applicant provides payslips, they must cover the whole period claimed (for example, if payslips are produced monthly, the applicant must provide the payslip for each month of the period claimed)."

In my case, the payslip was printed on company headed letter. Hence, the only confusion is regarding stamp and signature..

Get them stamped and signed just to be sure otherwise not required as per guidance , as your payslips are on company headed letter.
