Hi, my best wishes for this year to all of us waiting... After a year they send you a letter asking you for more proof?? Can I ask which papers you send as proof before and what you sending now, if they send me this kind of letter I have no idea what else to send I gave them every single proof I could have... Can you share your wife's story pls... Thnxphilwafc wrote:My wife applied in December 2011. Received a letter last week asking for further documentation since the application. So hopefully they have now at least taken a look at the application and fingers crossed it won't take much longer.
If you are applying for DLR, don't make any plans like booking flights etc,
as it looks like most applications are taking over 12 months.
best of luck people
philwafc wrote:It's not that they needed more proof I don't think. They just wanted more up to date information from when after my wife applied, because it was so long ago. So up to date information about finances and that we are still living together, so the same stuff as before just more recent.
We are hoping that as they have asked for these recent documents then it means they have now at least taken a look at my wife's application and a decision won't be too far off.
The reason she applied for DLR was she didn't pass her KOL test for ILR and it was too late for her to take an English language test for FLR so this was the only option left. As she is of course married to me (British) and we have a British born child we are hoping things will turn out fine.
