Hi Ally,
I think u should call them, its not a big deal,i think its bcoz of files pressure on them as peoples r waiting for last 5 or 6 months for their decision. I attended biometrics on 13th August bt still no response from them.
Thanks.

hi ws,
no need to sort out this problem.
my friend had same problem on acknowledgement letter but there was no mistake on biometrics letter.
it is a private company which take payments and issue acknowledgement letters.u have to wait ur biometrics letter.if there is a mistake then u will have to contact them.so dont worry.

Hi guys why dont u do something for this. Like I think its a lot of time. if you guys draft a letter or something stating unusual delays in processing of application is seriously hampering our business.etc etc..

or go to your local mp wid ur letters, give him ur details. ask him to send a letter to home office to expedite the pending cases. I m thinking is it pakis applicant only delays or every applicant. like I saw previous posts early pages, one srilankan got it in six weeks. Six week, and here I am looking and finding people dont have response for the last six months?? strange isnt it.

Just a quick one. Who ever has got their visa approved have they got it issued from the date their last visa expired or the approx. time around the decision was made.
Thanks :)

after 6 months

Post by aziz1053 » Mon Jan 07, 2013 1:30 pm

Hi, the people who have applied in July they can call HO if their 6 months are completed from the very first day when you have sumbitted the application. Like if you have sent down your application on 15 July 2012 you can call on 16 Jan 2013 to ask the status of your application as I confirmed this HO. Visa is always issued around at the date when the decision is being made. I consulted a good lawyer on the tele he said due to back log they going to clear applications by the time of March 2013. I was like huhhh.. :S.. Its so annoying & not going anywhere..
Thanks

New Visa starts when its granted, not from expiry date of your previous leave.

I had applied for this visa on 22 july 2012 and i have not heard anything from homeoffice after giving biometric . My funds were held in overseas. I assume if funds are held in uk then you get visa early

Is there any time limit of waiting period or they can held you application for year or for as long as they want

I am working in UK for past 2 years under T2 ICT rules before 6 apr 2011 and after 6 apr 2010.

I can certainly switch to T2 Gen, dont know about T1 Entrepreneur visa ?

Since T1 Gen is closed , 200000 is not practical for my case , but 50,000 GBP i can give a try.

Hi

I applied some 5 months ago now my visa will near to expire. What will be my situation afterwards, how will it effect my future visa applications and is it worth to speak with home office regarding this situation?

In future I think I need to mention the reasons for overstay and attach the documents in support with every application.

This is ridiculous, I think in current situation an applicant should apply for the next application as soon as he gets the first one to save himself from overstay.

No, you are not overstaying! Because you have applied for your LLR while your visa was not expired.

Because you have already lodged an application; you will not be counted as overstayed. You can continue with your previous status legally until you get your decision. Even if the outcome continues on appeals. You will be Legal in the country and will not mention anything in your future application.
In the previous years I got one visa extension after six months of my visa expiry. I put my application before my visa expiry. I got my visa without any problem and I never needed to mention it because my duty was over after posting it to HO.
Once in previous years, I put an application for extension after 3 days of my visa expiry. In that case I always mention in my applications about those 3 days which I overstayed. I got visas after that as well.
Now according to new rules, there are 28 days of application submission after visa expiry. If you post application during those days, you will not be an overstayer.

If you are on Tier 2 ICT you need to show 200,000K unless you have 50K from a venture capitalist. (read the guidance for more clarity)
