Does anyone know if when applying for spouse visa, British Embassy cross references Sponsor to see if that sponsor has sponsored anyone else as a spouse from a previous relationship in past?

I suspect the answer is yes, at least in some British Missions.

Which embassy are you talking about?

In any case, do appreciate that information about a previous marriage needs to be supplied as regards an application being made now.

And why do you ask? Are you thinking that sponsoring a previous spouse is some sort of bar to sponsoring the new spouse now? If so, that is not the case.

My opinion? On the VAF2 application form it asks :-

5.12 Has your sponsor ever been married, in a relationship like a marriage, or civil partnership?

Do ensure that is answered truthfully. (Not that I am suggesting you would do otherwise.) So did you live with your previous fiancée "in a relationship like a marriage"? If so, she needs to be mentioned. If not, I think you can omit her.

Do appreciate that the embassy will have retained the evidence previously submitted. So if that evidence includes details of the two of you living together, I really think she needs to be mentioned on the form now.

Does that make sense?
