Renewal of Indian Passport - Help !

Dear Members,

My Indian Passport is due for renewal on March 2013. I am thinking of doing a postal application to India Embassy in Birmingham.

In this ocassion i would like to add my spouse name along with the renewal process. I am bit confused at this stage and want to know whether i can club both the requirement (renewal& adding spouse name) in one application?

My spouse also wants to add my name in her passport, but her's is not expiring. I understand that in her case, she needs to fill in Misc service application form for processing. My doubt in her case is can we both send our applications in one post to the concern office?

Would like to know the personal experience of other memebers if someone has come accross this situation.
