Schengen visa for husband from England?

My Indian partner and I (I am Uk citizen) are getting married soon in England. He will be on a visit visa for marriage purposes. We would like to go to Spain for a short holiday before we leave the UK permanently before his visa expires.

After we are married, will he be able to apply for a Schengen visa from England?
