ILR time for application sent via post

I have sent my wife ILR application via POST on 18th Jan 2013, can some please let me know what is the current decision time for such cases.

Also, what will be next step in the application process i.e, will my wife have to go to UKBA office in future or not. Please clarify!!!

At some point, your wife will receive a letter to submit biometrics. This will need to be done within the time specified in the letter and can only be done at the Post Office. Once your wife has submitted her biometrics, it will be sent to UKBA. How long it takes after that varies from person to person.
