Can you apply for citizenship?

Do you have any children who are Irish or EU citizens? If you have an EU citizen child living in Ireland you can apply on the basis of wanting to remain with the child.

Do you have a partner who is an EU citizen? If yes, you can apply on the basis of being with your EU citizen partner.

Kpani, if you have been living here for 5 years or, you can apply for citizenship.

1. If your HP contract will be renewed after expiration, you should speak with your manager to issue you a letter stating that your contract will be renewed, then you can apply to INIS Immigration under an Employment Permit.

2. Alternatively you can reconcile with you family, pay the 200 euro on a monthly basis and save yourself some trouble!

3. You can explain your story to the INIS officer and see what they will come up to, if they will re-issue you a Stamp 4 based on Family Reunification or not.

My advice: Pay 200 euro until you' re 5 years in this country if you re not already, then apply for Citizenship!

Write a letter to the Justice minister and explain your situation, I think you might be allowed to get a GNIB without your step-mum once they know your circumstances. make the letter very detailed.

On a different note, I know someone personally that came here on Family Re-unification as a spouse, separated from the husband and was allowed to register by themself.

Well my point is that the stwp mum dont want me around the father so now what she is trying lock me out by sayiing i wont be able torenew without her but i dont want it to go too far that why i am just hesitating to ezplain to the immigration. If i explain all she did they wIll be court issue i dontg want that.
If you don't want this to go far, then I don't know how I can help because your mind is not made up. You say your step-mum says she won't help with renewing the GNIB but then you don't tell Immigration your situation.

Regards,

P.S

Oh No! Kpani! Dont write the letter to the Minister yourself, your written English su*ks so bad. The minister in his absolute discretion will refuse you Stamp 4 simply because you write the letter yourself!.

Again you said that you're working for HP, with your terrible written English? No offense but it puzzles me. You need to learn to start written properly if you want to survive in an English speaking country

KPANI, you need to write to the Family Reunification Unit, INIS, Burgh Quay, with your ref number and your step parent's ref number (the refugee who applied for you) and ask them to issue a letter confirming you have ongoing permission to remain independently of your parents. I believe they will issue that.

If you want more advice, I know of a free immigration law service in Dublin, it is run through the Free Legal Advice Centres at the following locations in Dublin, you will have to phone for an appointment:

It's just down from the Savoy Cinema, do you know that? In between that and the Pulao Penang restaurant.

Re stamp 4

Post by KPANI » Thu Jan 24, 2013 6:32 am

Hi ;again
I was told by my Hr at work that 1month before my stamp 4expires ;they will give me a reminder saying i have to renew it.I got a call from the Leixlip immigration officer yesterday and before he could listen to me;he asked when my stamp 4 was due to expire i told him on the 25th of may.He then told me to wait when it expires and contact him in order to renew it.I couldnt say more as he told me he was a bit busy.He also told me if he can renew my stamp 4 for me even i will be on my own he will; and if he cant he will tell me what to do.I have an issue here my contract will be ending on the 3rd of may because of the expiring date of my stamp 4 and my Hr told me they can only renew my contract if i can renew my stamp 4 before the 25th of may meaning the 1rst or the 2nd of may.My employee is even going to provide a letter to tell the immigration officer its urgent. My question is that will the officer renew it 2 weeks before expiring date or not?Has anyone been in this situation before where they had to renew their stamp 4 before the expiring date?In order to extende my contract i will need it ;if not i will loose my job. Please let me know if you know anyone who had experienced that before .Thanks
