Can I apply for HSMP from UK before leaving?

Hi there

My HSMP and subsequently FLR was rejected last week. Since my LTR had expired, I'm leaving the UK next week.

However, I would like to know, if I can apply for HSMP from within the UK before leaving, providing all contact information for my home-country India.

Has anyone done this successfully? Or do you foresee any problems ?

All I want to do is send the documents by special delivery to the home office and leave the country. My contact info will be for India. This will save me about a week's time.

Please let me know your experience/thoughts.

I think YES you can send documents from there and give them your address in India.

I can say this because one of my friend had applied this way. He is from Pakistan and he gave his application to a friend (going UK for some purpose) and his friend posted his application from London. BUT all the details like address, payment etc was from Pakistan.
