stucked with 70 / university let down

Post by hsmporwp » Sun Feb 25, 2007 9:10 am

Hi all

unfortunately i have been informed by my university that my degree letter for my masters could be given may 2008 despite submitting my dissertation aug 2007. Thereofe I was planning to use this 5 points extra for my masters degree 'cause i was just making 75 by the end of this year.

Currently i am on wp and if i wait too long like may 2008 i will loose my points for age...

Now the solution i have found is increasing my income by doing extra hours at work-same employer (like working on saturdays) and falling in to the next category which will give me 5 extra points. But will this be considered as overtime or as long as it is on my payslip and taxed will i be granted relevant points.

Thanks in advance for your help.

hi hsmporwp,

thanks is ur best solution, try and get more overtime/weekend work so ur salary can increase and u can get more points. Doesnt matter if for example ur annual salary is £20K, if u can do more overtime work so in that claimed period, u can earn more than 20K.

Thanks skilachi for your reply...

So there is no restriction to get extra hours/days while you are on wp right ? subject to doing the same work i guess...

No restrictions. You can work extra hours.
