In person or post application? URGENT Please!!!

Post by JS28 » Thu Jan 31, 2013 1:53 am

Hi All,

I will be applying for a Tier 2 general visa by next week as my current visa is expiring on the 16th of March 2013. I am just waiting for a decision to be made on my contract at work then by next week I will be applying for the tier 2 visa. I was wondering if 4 weeks is enough for the application as I do not want to be counted as an overstayer because I am working towards the long term residency visa.

1.) Can anyone please advise what to do? shall I stick to the post application or apply on person?

2.) We have just got the licence so how do we apply for UCOS? how long does it take?

Thank you

As long as you apply before your current leave expires, be it by post or in person, your present leave continues under section 3c of the Immigration Act 1971 until a decision is made even if the decision date is after the expiry of your visa.

HI,

I went to see the HR at work and I found out that even though we asked for 2 UCOS we do not have allocation for it. We applied for it today but I am scared that it will not come before my visa runs out. How long does it take?

Thanks
