Tier 1 (general) dependant refusal.Need some advices please!

Post by mayprivate » Sat Feb 02, 2013 11:31 pm

My husband has Tier 1 (General) permit. I had PSW permit and I didn’t have enough point for point based permits, so I have applied as a dependant of my husband inside UK. It has been refused recently. I heard people say the only way to apply first time as Tier-1 dependant needs to apply from outside UK, is it true? Anyone has the similar situation and appealed for the decision? Also how long does it take to complete the application outside UK?

Reading the UKBA guidance for T1G dependants to begin, would help: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... dantroute/

Thanks for your information. I also think my application was refused because I hold PSW (PSW is not allowed to switch to dependant inside UK) so I have to return my home country to apply for the dependant visa. Anyway I will ask my solicitor for some advices to see which way is the best way to do (appeal or apply again outside UK).

no point in talking to a solicitor or filing an appeal, you have to apply from outside UK so save the time & trouble

Yes Manka, you are right! I also think apply outside UK is correct method. No point to appeal.
