A quick query

Post by Humv » Thu Feb 07, 2013 3:44 pm

If UKBA requests an additional information on your appliacation and gives you time limit of 14 days or whatever.

For some reason if you are unable to send those documents in that given time limit. Can you send them later?

Thanks.

you should do within the time limit they gave or must give reason why your reply is late plus a senior's / lawyer opinion should be taken in this matter.

UKBA may give you 28 days to provide the requested documents. But in case you need more time then you can always communicate with them and request more time. I did in the past, they always give you more time if you request and give them a good reason.

Its entirely upto individual case worker if they give you more time but I had previous experience where I been given just 3 days to provide the new passport size photographs.

but I guess as mention in the summary of changes, if they ask for more documents eg recent bank statement, business plan etc they will give us 28 days

regards

Go read this link and tell me where it say 28 WORKING DAYS .......

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... trepreneur

" You will have 28 days in which to provide the information we request. We may also carry out checks to verify the information provided and you could be invited to attend an interview to discuss your application."

Now read it and DO NOT mislead others its not 28 WORKING DAYS its 28 days that is what it says on UKBA site and above link is provided to support my answer.

so get it right rather than picking on other when you don't know what you talking about.

Hi Rehan01,

Read this

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... iew=Binary

page 5 - H section.

(h) The Entry Clearance Officer reserves the right to request additional
information and evidence to support the assessment in (f), and to refuse the
application if the information or evidence is not provided. Any requested
documents must be received by the UK Border Agency at the address
specified in the request within 28 working days of the date of the request.

Please go in depth about UK BA new rules and read at least 10 times and try to understand before you reply.

half knowledge is very dangerous.

Going through high level info is dangerous.
You need to get into inner details other wise it impacts many applicants here.

Take it as friendly advice :)

I had been asked to provide a third party bank letter that has my name on it.
The bank letter I sent with my application did not have it. I had been given time limit of 9 days. My bank has agreed to give me a letter with my name. I couldnt send the letter in given time limit as my funds are overseas and it took some time to come through. I am going to post the letter to HO next week now!

Hi,

When did you gave your biometrics?

What is the date on letter from UKBA?

I think you should post it as soon as possible. And also write a covering letter explaining the reason for delay in overseas post. You should be fine and hopefully get your visa soon.
