ILR Success Solihull-WP+Tier1(G)-Director (292 Leave)

Post by FOR_ILR » Fri Feb 08, 2013 2:59 pm

First of all: Thanks to Immigration Board, Guru Members and others for providing useful information for my ILR.

I entered UK in Workpermit within 6 months switched to Tier 1 -G (From Jul 2008) - Limited Company Director

Total 292 Days Leave in 5 years

In first year itself 143 Days Leave (of which 90 Days in a single absence).
All other years average of 25 - 40 days per year

Documents Requested by CW
=======================

1. Application Set (o) 12/12 version + ( Absence Sheet listing absence by each 12 consecutive months listing each trip + pg no of passport showing stamp of entry into uk and entry into visting country)
2. Passport + 2 Photographs
3. Life in UK Pass Certificate

Personal Income Proof
----------------------
1. Accountant Letter
2. Dividend Voucher
3. Payslips
4. 12 months personal bank statement

Company Proof
-------------
1. Corporation Tax (Recent Payment Proof)
2. Vat Certificate

*** No other documents requested apart from the ones listed above ***

CW Verified date provided in Accountant letter matching the date in Bank Statement

CW Requested for photo copies of all above listed documents except - Application and Accountant Letter

CW wanted me to handover each of the above documents along with it's copy at same time (first original, as soon as he picks it slide the copy)

CW was happy to see that in bank statement I had highlighted salary and dividend details in two different colours for ease.

The list of documents requested might change depending on case worker, it is best to carry as many as possible in different folders and provide the ones asked for.

I had organized all my documents in following order for my ease of use:
  • Transparent folder: Application Form, Passport, Life in UK Pass, Appointment Confirmation and Photographs + (Copies of all except Application form)

File 1: Personal Income Proof (12 months payslips, accountant letter, personal bank statements 12 months, dividend voucher) + Copies

File 2: Company Proof (12 months business bank statement, latest corp-tax payment request slip from HMRC, Incorporation Certificate, Vat Certificate) + Copies

File 3: P60s, Invoices for last 12 months, Tier1 Extension Approval, WP related documents, Points Calculator sheet, HMRC Employment Proof, HMRC Company Corporation Tax accounts for last 3 years, HMRC Self-Assessment Proof, Company Accounts + Copies of all

Congr8 mate -

Could you please answer the below

CW Verified date provided in Accountant letter matching the date in Bank Statement

Does this mean - specific date ?

I think can we DON'T add date in to our letter , just simply say

April 2012
May 2012
Jun 2012

and they have salary against them ? I mean simply we can show the period not SPECFIC Date?

What you got in your letter?

Thanks,
Rubi

Hi,

I was also really nervous.. as I was even told by 2 of the solicitors that my 90 days continuous would be a problem and they were reluctant to take my case forward, but I took a chance as per my interpretation of new rules from 13-Dec-2012.

I gave a simple excel with absence details - not sure how to attach that to this post, send me your email id - I will send the template.

Regards,

Hi, Can you please tell, have you submitted any letter from employer for the Absence which was greater than 90days at one trip?
What purpose you have mentioned for the 90days trip?

Any question from CW for that >90 days absence?

Regards,
Prasanta

Hi

Congrats!

I have a doubt as mine is similar situation.

The first year I was in WP and had about 150 days of absence which relates to business and vacation.

Currently I am in Tier1.

Do we need to give employer letter proof for listing out the absences. Did you give any?

I was not asked for any employer letter, nor any P.60s only was asked for last 12 months payslip, dividend voucher, personal bank statement and my company corp tax + vat certificate.

I was out of this country during WP for 143 days in which one was 90 days single trip

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Did you took the risk of not getting the employer letter or you decided it was not needed.

What did you mention in your absence on the 90 days leave ? Annual leave or unpaid leave?

Were you paid during that 90 days absence?

I am very much confused as i had also spent 69 days of holiday for my marriage.

As per the new policy and being in Tier1-G it I felt it is not required to provide employer letter with whom I served 4 years back - basically, I had the letter with me in my additional document file and gave only documents requested by the CW.

Regarding the absence, I marked most of my absence other than few Annual Leave as Work Related, see the absence sheet template I have listed in the original post.
