Exactly..thanks Vinny. That's why I've tried to confirm who is requesting the return of the passport...applicant or sponsor. In Shendean's other thread it appears to be the sponsor.

As Vinny has pointed out...if you request the return of your passport as the applicant, your application would be withdrawn.

Only the document holder can request their documents back unless it is a withdrawl of an application which then has to be from the main applicant.

Then they may not return the passport if it wasn't requested by your husband.

No. It means the UKBA may insist on your husband submitting a form for the return of his own passport.
Did you submit the word document request form shown on the UKBA website?
