hi good day i was on a student visa in 2002 which expire 30 sept 02 i got married in august 2002 before my leave run out however i had some problem so i made my flrm application in april 2003 that made me six months overstay up to this day i have not get a dicision from the home office my mp wrote to the home office a month ago and they now aking me for document before they can make a dicision the document they want is like bills etc. what is likely to happend will they refuse me why they ask for documents thank you please res

You really did yourself no favours at all here. Why on earth did you not apply for your one-year spouse visa shortly after you married, and before the expiry date of your student visa?

This is particularly bad for you because you say you applied in April 2003. I make this comment because on 01.04.03 a "no switching" rule was introduced.

Nevertheless here we are in 2007 and you have still not heard the result of your application. Clearly getting in touch with your MP was the correct thing to do. Hopefully the documents you will now submit, proving that the two of you are living together, should get this matter resolved rapidly.

thank john my partner british passport did lost and did'nt know i could send her birth paper thats why i send it late do you think they will refuse me its been four years now

I think the fact that they are asking for up-to-date information is a good sign. However I don't think it would be right to assume that the application will be granted. However, hopefully, you will be able to post good news at some time in the future.
