What to do if my application get refused-Switching from PSW

Post by JS28 » Fri Feb 15, 2013 1:06 pm

Hi All,

I am going to be applying for my visa soon. I am currently on the Tier 1 PSW visa which does not require Residential market labour Test (RMLT).

I was thinking of asking my HR to do a RMLT just in case my visa gets denied.

I am a College Teacher working for my employer for 2 years now.

How can my employer do the RMLT and what happens if people apply for the job? How can I encourage my employer to do this test?

Your response is much appreciated.

If your leave is current and you make an in-time application, and the application were to be refused, it would not be because of the RLMT, so doing one just in case is a complete waste of time.

Hi Lucapooka,

I understand that being on a PSW visa exempt me from the RLMT. However, if my visa was refused and I was to reapply again and my visa has already expired, then an RLMT will be needed.

That is what I am asking.
