Permanent residency for mother?

Post by subu_s » Tue Mar 06, 2007 4:48 am

Hi,
I am based out of India and plan to get a WP/HSMP visa for UK. However my mom is a widow aged 60. Is it possible to get permanent residency for her with me in a WP/HSMP?

Thanks n Regards,
Subra

How can she get permenant residency if you're not a permanent resident yourself? Or you mean if she can come with you as your dependant? I don't think they allow parents to be dependants on a WP/HSMP-especialy if you have your own family, but i'm not sure. But you're not even in the UK so why start thinking about it now!?

Next to impossible unless there is nobody to take care of your mother back in your home country and she is entirely dependant on you....

In fact there is no one in India to take care of her though she can manage financially.

What are the proofs the immigration authorities demand?
