Full Time Study

Post by jd » Fri Mar 02, 2007 4:22 pm

Can we study full time on HSMP?

If someone thinks like following plan.
1) initially for 2 years he do full time job
2) After getting extension he get admission and study full time for 1-1.5 years.
3) after that he starts job full time and get ready for another extension or ILR.

please share your comments on this. Anybody see any problem in this approach?

Thanks,
JD

look at the SET(O) application. it will be what you fill in to get ILR (the application may very well change in the future mind you).

under HSMP, you have to prove that you are working. past economic activity... i don't know how you will be able to prove that if you are a full time student.

i am planning on getting HSMP and then being a part time student...

as mentioned by meggles...a full time study should be made under a student visa and not HSMP...which translates that you are working as an employee or contractor

guys,

so wot if someone has just recently finished working on a working hols visa say 6months ago and went back to his home country and then came back recently on a student visa for Masters degree, which started in feb 2007 and during his time while back at home country applied for HSMP and also go approved recently in feb 2007 (almost same time as student visa started).

Are there any issues in wanting to go back home this month to get EC ASAP given the fact that the applicant just came in a student on a student visa and now might be comin in as HSMP holder?

...Student visa was granted/stamped from home country.
...Applied for HSMP while still outside UK but thru a legal firm in the UK (so application made in-country).
...Now got HSMP approval letter and want to apply for EC asap/march 2007 although still have up to 6months to get EC but want to get it sorted out of the way as might not be able to go back home in few months time cos of coming exams in april/summer time.
