deos anyone know

Post by sankar » Wed Jan 09, 2013 8:51 am

After waiting for 6 months and getting an annoying answer from UKBA, I am thinking of other options now rather waiting further.

One of my friend referred me to someone who owns some stake in the company as mentioned in below url -
http://www.hsmp-services.co.uk/

I have to authorise this agency to handle my case from now onwards. But before I could do that, can anyone guide whether these people can chase my application and get me a concrete answer why it is getting delayed and how long it will take?

Thanks.

Hi Sankar,

I wouldn't advise that route as these solicitors cannot influence. Better approach your local MP and get a letter for expediting your application process.

I know the feeling. So what exactly happened when you called? what did you say? what did they say?

Finally got the ILR approval - SET(M)

Post by Salsboo » Sat Jan 12, 2013 9:32 am

Hi All,

Many thanks for everyone that has contributed to this forum, it has been very reassuring to read that we are not the only ones going through this horrible process (although it is frustrating to read about all the cases like ours in which UKBA have delivered such poor value for money and a totally sub-standard service).

Good luck to everyone still waiting (fingers crossed you will receive your docs/passports soon)....for those yet to submit an application I would seriously advise you to pay the extra and make an appointment via one of the PEO's....if we could turn back time then we would never have used the postal route (it is a nightmare!)

Application Type: ILR SET(M)
Current Visa Type: FLR(M)
Current Visa Expiry: July 2012
Dependents: None
Application Date: 25/07/2012
Acknowledgement: 10/08/2012
Biometrics: 17/10/2012
ILR Approval Date: 09/01/2013
Documents and Passport received: 11/01/2013 (included a next day delivery envelop with application)
BRP Card: 15/01/2013 (via DX)

I've been a silent follower of this board and the timelines were very helpful. I hope this will help others. Good luck with your applications.

ILR Approved

Post by sankar » Wed Jan 16, 2013 11:44 am

Hi All,
thanks all for your messages. At least it was a great relief to read messages from all and breath a while. I understand it was very frustrating for all of us and after several months we start panicing. Due to this forum I knew that most people are getting back their decisions by around 6 months and that made my life easy since I have crossed 6 months.

So, a small thank you to all who contribute in the forum and wish all the best who are still waiting for hearing a decision.

My case:
Application made for Set(O) - with 2 dependents (tier-1 visa)
Sent appl by post - 06-July-2012
Biometric scan done on - 08-Sep-2012
received passports and all documents - 15-Jan-2013
received ILR or BRP - 16-Jan-2013

Thanks.

ILR Received

Post by fsixteen » Fri Jan 25, 2013 9:07 am

Dear Friends,

Many thanks for your support. I have received an ILR after 6 Months.

Application submitted on 12/07/2012.
ILR received on 17/01/2013.

Do you have any idea about the British Nationality qualification period. Would the Home Office will consider the 6 months within 12 months period of qualification, while my ILR application with them ?

Or do they consider the starting date from the date mentioned of the card. ?

15. Date of approval: ??
16. Date of return of passport and other documents: 25-2-13
17. Date BRP ILR Received: 25-2-13

I am SO SO SO excited to be posting this - I really hope this gives hope to the June, July and August applicants still waiting. Clearly, applications are *not* being processing in chronological order, but they are being processed, ever so slowly.

A few notes:

1) my MP never did respond with the result of his enquiry, so I'm not sure this helped at all
2) My employer's letter was ignored (as expected)
3) The postman left my passport and documents in the lobby of my building, unsigned for, but the BRP arrived a few hours later and required my signature.
4) There is no date on my approval letter or on the letter that accompanied my BRP.
5) Beginning on my 6 month anniversary, I rang UKBA once a week to enquire...and as of the morning on 20-2, it was still not approved.

I need to be in America in 7 days for work and I'll also be able to visit my family in America for the first time in over 7 months, so this is an *extremely* happy day!!!

I received our BRP cards this morning! I am thrilled though a bit angry with UKBA for taking almost 8 months to process the application. My prayer is for all of you still waiting to get some good news soonest.

My Timeline so far:

2. Date of expiry of current leave: 30-10-2012
