Received a letter from UKBA today asking to provide SOC code from my employer. Will be sending it early next week. Atleast all other documentation is correct and nice to see my application is with a case worker.
gmx and other october applicants... you should also be hearing it any time. All the best.

That's a good progress indeed
better than hearing/knowing nothing
I guess they wouldn't ask for mine since I'm under Tier 1?

Most of the Oct, 12 applicants will be completing 6-Months in April-13. Is there any contact number for UKBA where you can call and check the progress of applications?

I understand your frustrations and I am in a similar situation. I have decided to protest as far as I can hence I have first contacted my local MP and ask them to intervene, I still haven't got any meaningful response from UKBA hence I am going to request for a parliamentary ombudsman escalation through my MP. This entails complete investigation into the delayed processing times on ILR application. I advice all people who have applied for ILR last year and still waiting for there decision for more than 6 months to do the same. This will help in escalating our situation on government level and help all honest taxpaying residents to get justice.

Just called UKBA on 0870 606 7766. Automated message says "All advisers are busy, call later, your call will disconnect now". Dead end.You can't even ask them provide current status of an application? What kind of services are they providing? Shocking!!

Another Oct '12 applicant.. Still waiting for my ILR. Timeline as below..
SET(O) applied on 08-Oct 2012 (2 yrs HSMP + 3 yrs T1 G)
Paid via Bankers draft
Biometrics enrolled: 15 Dec 2012
waiting for the outcome now..
My father has fallen ill and I urgently want to travel to see him. Don't know what to do? Has anyone been in the same situation and called HO? Did they speed up the application process?

Hi cpf,
I'm still waiting too...
My father-in-law had a minor stroke two weeks ago and had to be admitted to the hospital immediately. Thank God it was only a minor attack and he can leave the hospital after three days.
But all the while, we're all worrying over here about his situation. If the situation had become worse, we wouldn't be able to go and visit him without our passports with us, especially within a short notice. It would be too late....

Thanks GMX.
But you didn't call HO at that time to see if they could give you any priority? The reason being, the ACK letter says, "All applications are considered in application date order unless there are any compelling or compassionate reasons to prioritise"...
