Hi All,
First of all I like to thank all the moderators (especially Sushdmehta), seniors and every one who replied to my queries.
Here is our experience.
Appointment time was 09:00
We have already checked that It will take us 90 min to reach the PEO , but to be safe just decided to leave at 05:30 in the morning and reached at the John Lewis Car Park at 07:15 (My husband, me , daughter and little boy), obvioulsy everything was closed, At around 08:00 along with by daughter went to see the PEO office and was written on the window glass door, one is not allowed 15 minutes before appointment and if one is 15 minutes, appointmnet will be cancelled and applicant will be issued a warning.
We decided to exactly at 09:00 in the office. Two families were already in que, In the mean time a Guy from the other desk signalled us to come to his desk , we went there and he told us that we are in the wrong office, The right office its about 10 minutes walk from this UKBA office . You can imagine our condition , he gave us a map of the other office and literally we all four ran searching the UKBA building . The moment we found the Taylor Wympey building we took a sigh of releif that we are in the right direction and in the whole process the time was 09:10
The door of the PEO was closed and an old huge man was inside. We just pushed the door, he opened it and allowed us to enter asking us the appointment time . We told him that we know that we are late for the 09:00 appointmemt but were in the wrong offiice showed him the map the guy handed over to us in the other UKBA office. To cut the the long story short he allowed us to the reception.
What we were expecting same happened. The guy at the reception asked for the application form and passport , which we handed to him. But the moment he went through our form many question marks were obvious on his face. He went inside and came after a minute saying that we had filled the wrong form and they do not do JR cases here. My situation was obvious. For one second I felt that we have to walk out of the office. My husband at this moment showed that he had stonger nerves. He asked him comparatively polietly to ask from some senior. He went inside and came back in a minutes nodding his head from left to right. ' No, we don't do these cases'. I stepped in and asked him rudely to consult some senior. 'I have already done this'. My husband handed him a letter from UKBA mentioning his acknowledgement date of intitial application and FLR Tier1 HSMP form to use. The reception guy started to read that letter and went inside again to discuss with the seniors , after some time he came back and said that we have never seen this form before and similarly havent done any case like this before, but now you can enter and gave us a token number at 9:30
The rest of the process was simple but my husband has to explain every thing to case worker, using the HSMP form guidance notes and HSMP policy document. It took him about an hour and case worker took notes , went five times upstairs to consult the seniors. They were also unaware of how much money to take , we told them £4500, they confirmed again and asked to make the payment and stay in the waiting area until called for the biometrics. Despite all this the staff was polite and helpful.
I have read on the forum that payment is taken in PEO - Solihull only when case worker is satisfied.
10:45 Paid using debit card
11:30 Biometrics
12:00 The old Security man said that you can come and collect your letter at 13:30
13:00 We came back to PEO and the letters were ready along with the passports
On the way back we faced the severe and worst traffic jam onm M40. The journey that took us 90 minutes in the morning took us 4 hours and 30 minutes but we tjanked god that we are going home happy with the BRP letter in our hands.
Once again I want to thank this wonderful forum and recommend other peoples on the forrum that , if you are confident that you can prepare your case by your own , you should do it yourself either by post or by PEO.
We know that HSMP JR applicants were rare and same was the case with the case workers ( they didn't knew much about that JR) so it was our own preparation that lead to our success after the God's Will.
I will update when we will receive the BRP cards.
