thanks for the reply, i am not too sure what will be the re-action with HMRC in this case , not sure they might ask me to pay the tax again which my employer suppose to pay for them ? problem is my X employer doesn't exist now , they made everyone redundant ..senthilkm wrote:Don't worry you will be alright. It's the employers responsibility to pay the tax to HMRC that was deducted from your salary. Better to contact HMRC and get a written confirmation from them before applying.

There will be no effect on your application as its employer responsibility to pay HMRC and in case they default on it and went into administration , hmrc just become another claimant , so administrators will liquidate all assets of that company and pay all the claimants based on percentages this company is default off,
In case you have all of the salary slips with you , no one can challenge them if thy are original .
I have faced this in my extension case as my last employer went to administration without paying hmrc total of 3 months of payments .
Use your salary slips and bank statements , you should be ok
no i faced this in my extension application, only payslips and bank statements are more then enough to prove required point.suis wrote:mianrmm wrote:This is really common these days with the difficult financial times
