EEA2 to claim JSA?

Post by BigFlores » Wed Mar 06, 2013 8:11 pm

My wife is here in the UK on a EEA2 Residence Card (I myself am Swedish but have lived in the UK for many years). Can she claim 'JobSeekers Allowence' JSA while she is looking for work here in the UK?
Thank you for the help in this matter.

Are you working, if so how much are you earning? What is your wife's nationality?

If you are working she cant but if you are not working both can put a joint claim for JSA
beloved is the belief that there are inherent differences in people's traits and capacities that are entirely due to their race, however defined, and that, as a consequence, justify the different treatment of those people, both socially and legally.

I'm working, she's not (yet)!

Hi again...
Well, yes I am working and earning about £24.000. Does that make it impossible for her to claim JSA? I am Swedish and she is from South America, by the way...
