Switching from PSW to tier 1 entrepreneur on 50k

Post by nehal » Mon Mar 11, 2013 2:35 am

Hi
Can anyone help me in this matter, I am buying a business only to get psw entrepreneur visa on 50k. The business is for 30k and its a minicab office. And i will show rest of the amount in my account. my question is starting a minicab office is ok to get entrepreneur visa? Does this business qualify the requirements of home office or NQF level 4?

waiting for your response.

Thanx

You need to read the policy guidance, which is very clear and easy to understand on this particular issue. With an investment of 200K you can have any type of business. However, if you are using the PSW switching concession with an investment of 50K, the type of business activity is restricted to NQF Level 4.

There were solicitors in London who were still applying for students with £200,000 sponsor (inside UK) ... after 13 December 2012

So, you may wanna rethink your solicitor now!

As advised by other users you can not do business which is not at level 4 on 50k category but yes you can do taxi business or any other type of business if you applying under 200 k.

Also strongly advised you to read policy guidance once again and fire your solicitor because he is not capable enough to guide you properly because ukba have used taxi firm business as an example in guidance.

Regards.

THE SOLICITOR IS AFTER YOUR MONEY. THE TIER 1 (E) POLICY BLUNTLY STATES THAT CAB BUSINESS WILL NOT SCORE POINTS. HE JUST WANTS TO MAKE MONEY OUT OF YOU. AFTERALL WHAT DOES HE HOLD TO LOOSE. MY FRIEND GO AND FIND ANOTHER SOLICITOR AND MAKE SURE HE IS REGISTERED AS AN IMMIGRATION LAWYER. THEIR ARE LOTS OF CREEPS OUT THERE. SO DONT FALL VICTIM. I JUST HOPE YOU HAVE NOT FALLEN FOR IT YET. OR YOU MAY BE IN HOT SOUP......

nehal please read page 10 of 52 of Tier 1 Entrepreneur Policy Guidance, which will answer your question, and as advised by other members, you will be not be eligible.
In an occupation skilled to graduate level

Other than the work necessary to administer the business, your main business activity must be working skilled to National Qualifications Framework 4 or above. We will not take into account the tasks involved with the running of the business for this assessment.

For example

• If the business is software sales and your main activity is developing software, you may qualify for points;

• If the business is a taxi firm, the main occupation is driving a taxi and you will not score points even though you manage the business. Your main activity is providing a taxi service which is not skilled to graduate level.
