Address change update

Post by m.sheikh » Wed Mar 13, 2013 11:14 am

Hi all,

I am on tier1 general and have a BRP, I have recently moved and want to inform UKBA my new address.

I have found the online form for the address update at the link below but to me it looks like as if its only for the people whose applications are currently with UKBA.

https://contact-ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/ ... y-details/

Do I need to fill in the same form? or is there a different way of informing them?

Regards
Rocky

That's only used when you have an application under consideration and want to ensure the paperwork goes to the right location. The UKBA don't track the addresses of migrants and you don't have to inform them when you move.

What changes in circumstances does
the UK Border Agency need to be
informed of?
The applicant must inform the UK Border
Agency of any changes to the following for
either himself/herself or his/her dependants:
• personal details;
• criminal convictions;
• contact details;
• representative details;
• dependants’ details.
The applicant may also use this form to notify
the UK Border Agency of any other information
that he/she thinks that we should know.

That's not necessary either.

This is the right form... I used it last year while moving home.
UKBA also sent an acknowledgement letter that the address has been updated in their record.
