hi r u granted with public funds or no resource to public fund ? thanksvenividivici in God wrote:Hi Folks
I have been a viewer of this forum for a few years. I thank all those who have posted, their stories, it brings hope to so many. For all those in situations there is light at the end of the tunnel. I came to the UK on a Student visa in 1999. I overstayed my visa due to circumstances beyond my control.
I met my wife five years ago and we have two wonderful children, they are all British citizens by birth. I applied for DLR under family life and article 8. I am also the main care giver as I had to give up work to make the application. Here is my timeline:
Date application received :06/07/2012

Biometric Inv. : 21/01/2013
Biometrics done : 22/01/2013
Received Documents: 06/03/2013 (with letter informing ihad been granted 2.5 yrs)

I asked the same question earlier i was told the same: It will b sent back to u directly unless u used a solicitor...Why lie wrote:Hello . Can someone please advise how the ukba sends documents ? Do they send it to your solicitor or to your home address ? Thank you .
hi i used solicitor for my application but after ward they closed so i inform homeoffice via online service that they can send me document on my address, also i call them to confirm correspondence address ...i think its up to you if you want to change any address .tunab2 wrote:I asked the same question earlier i was told the same: It will b sent back to u directly unless u used a solicitor...Why lie wrote:Hello . When u called the HO did they confirm your new address. After ready from previous posts here, it seems like they are reali inefficient with address changes. Make sure your address with them is where you want your docs sent to.11akb wrote:hi i used solicitor for my application but after ward they closed so i inform homeoffice via online service that they can send me document on my address, also i call them to confirm correspondence address ...i think its up to you if you want to change any address .tunab2 wrote:I asked the same question earlier i was told the same: It will b sent back to u directly unless u used a solicitor...Why lie wrote:Hello . the biometric letter has a case worker id in it wish should be able to identify your caseworker. you could technically be able to send a letter to the ukba addressed to the caseworker id and he/she should get it.smatts07 wrote:the UKBA is pretty useless with change of addresses... I filled out the online form twice and called, which I am sure they finally have my correct address now.
I just called the UKBA to check on the status of my application which is outstanding for over 6 months now. I was surprised because the woman was nice, but she really couldn't tell me much. She did say that if i received my biometric letter, then my application would be with a case worker now... but since it has reached past the 6 month mark that they couldn't give a timescale for it. She said I could write to my caseworker for details... but my last letter was my BIO letter and it did not have a name or anything to case worker. She then said I could write to the home office with all of my details and check. I don't see what good writing to them.
Does anyone on here know who their caseworker is? or how they found out about them?

i think its the case reference. either way its pointless writing to them. 99.999% it will be ignored. Its difficult enough even trying to get a response through an MPsmatts07 wrote:where would the case worker id be??? the first page and the top bit says my case ref #, my name and address, UKBA address and then it has a section that says
Our Ref HO_REF
Your Ref Your Ref
Date 14 Feb 2013
it just looks like there should be some numbers in there. and then the end of that letter just says not to respond to this letter in writing.

this is a first application. And it only (compared to others ) took four months for it to come, so looks like they are slowly clearing the backlog11akb wrote:congrats egoneo is it extension or first application ?egoneo wrote:came back from work to find my biometrics letter waiting for me. Let's hope they are speeding up the process, people lives are on hold. I pray that anyone who has passed the Bio stage does not have to wait more than 3 months.egoneo wrote:this is a first application.
