ILR - Tier 2 - Dependent

Post by keerthi » Fri Mar 15, 2013 10:58 am

Dear All,

I have a confusion. My case is bit complicated because of reference letter from the organisation.

Currently My wife and kids are on dependent Visa (Tier 2)

Iam planning to apply ILR only for me to avoid the risk of £5K in April, if all 4 are applying.

Please let me know, If I get ILR in the individual appointment, will I have some time to apply for their ILR, and can they continue in the Tier 2 dependent Visa, eventhough the main applicant is switched to ILR.

Kind Regards,
Keerthi

They may continue until their leave expires.

Hello Vinny,

Thanks you for the quick reply.

Yes, if wife is eligible.

Moreover, UK-born children will be entitled to register for British citizenship, without having to apply for ILR.

Hi Vini,

In my case I have converted my visa from Tier 2 general to ILR and my wife is still Tier 2 general dependent. I am planning to switch my job, can my wife still continue to stay using her dependent visa.

Thanks,
Thinkingagain.
