EEA Family Permit questions

Post by jasmit2303 » Thu Mar 14, 2013 8:28 pm

Hi,

I need to know a few things with regards to the EEA family permit. I am planning to marry my fiancée in May 2013. I have a Dutch passport and live in the UK. My fiancée is in India and has an Indian passport. I require two answers from you for the following questions. It would be great if someone could answer them please:

1) Once my husband has been granted the EEA family permit which allows him 6 months stay in the UK - will he still be able to travel to India within these 6 months to visit his family?

2) I am on a contract - my work is to end in October 2013, will this affect my case?

It would be great if anyone could answer my questions.

Thank you.

You shouldn't ppst the same question 3 times in differnet threads!

1) Yes he can travel back and forth during the 6 months

2) I don't think it's a problem as long as you are exercising treaty rights at the time of application and again when he applies for residence card

Work circumstances

Post by jasmit2303 » Tue Apr 09, 2013 3:24 pm

Hello,

I have a question again. I hope someone can answer it for me please.

I wanted to know that if I have a part time job after my contract ends (Oct 2013), will I still be able to get my fiancee here to the UK?

Do I have to pay NI/Income tax to get my fiancee here? Say if I end up with working less then 16hrs and do not have to pay tax, will I still be able to submit the EEA application and get mt fiancee to the UK? Wil it be an issue?

Thank you :)

Apologies, but I still do not understand it. I have read the document several times before, but it is unclear to me with regards to the taxes and employment :(

As long as your work is genuine and effective, it will count.

(Ask yourself how do you manage to live? Do you have other sources of income? It may be that you are self-sufficient. I don't know your situation).
