TIER 2 ICT to TIER 2 General Doubts

Hi,

I need your help in clarifying few questions:

I came to UK on TIER 2 ICT Established Staff visa during JANUARY 2011 on one year and it got it renewed again for one year in Feb 2012 to Feb 2013 under TIER 2 ICT Long Term Leave to Remain. Now my questions are:

Am I eligible to convert my visa to TIER 2 General from within the country.

I do have a company who is willing to sponsor for my visa (TIER 2 General) once my existing visa is expired. May i know Do I need to go back to my country after my existing visa expired and switch over to TIER 2 General

Incase if i wanted to switch to TIER 2 General in Feb 2013 10 days prior to my existing visa expiration can that be done within the country.

Since I am in ICT i have not shown any bank balance for my dependents but now if i switch over to TIER 2 General i need to show bank balance for my 2 dependents for three months. Am i right.

Thanks a lot for your time. Please don't mistake me for not doing a research on my own to find out the options. Things are bit confusing due to high level terminology.

According to 245HD(c) of the Immigration Rules you are eligible to switch to T2G in-country. See also the T2 policy guidance para 16, 3rd bullet point http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... idance.pdf

the maintenance requirements for dependants are clearly spelt out in paras 48-53 of the PBS dependant policy guidance:

You can switch any time, you don't have to wait until your present T2 ICT leave expires. However, you should check that the prospective sponsor has a sponsor licence with a T2G CoS allocation available for you and don't resign until you actually have the T2G CoS assigned. You can only apply for leave to remain after you have the CoS.

Hi, I have recently applied to switch from ICT to Tier 2 General using a company tier 2 Contractors

I will be going to Croydon PEO for switching next month and will post my result ASAP.

I'm in UK on a tier 2 long term ICT. My visa was processed post April 2011 (Oct 2011).
Can I switch to tier 2 General by any chance?
