Thiru instead of Mr

Hi All,

In my english certificate which i got from college its mentioned as Thiru :? instead of Mr.xxxx <Name>. Its normal procedure in our state. do i need to attach any letter explaining it or its okay to send it without any letter ?

Please advice.
