10 years ilr

hello everyone,i came to this country on 6th october 2002.i entered as a student and then to psw and then to tier-1 general.i will have completed 10 years on 6th october 2012.i have a valid tier-1 visa until 31 march 2013.do i have to apply for 10 years ilr before 6th october 2012?or i am allowed to apply anytime after the qualifying period?someone please reply.thanks in advance.

applicant can apply no more than 28 days before the 10th anniversary. In your case you are already eligible to apply. You can apply in your convenience. Gud luck with your application.

hi everyone..i came to uk on 6th october 2002 as a student.in 2008 i converted to IGS and then 1 year on PSW.In march 2010 i got tier 1 general status.it is expiring 31 march 2013.i am already qualified for ILR long residency.but i have a 5 months stay in india due to medical reasons and family reasons in one of the visits.will that eefect my ILR application.should i apply for Tier 1 general extension first and then apply for ilr orilr first.please advice..

An applicant can maximum be absent outside the UK for 6 Months in a year. You should be fine as long as you were not absent for more than 6 months in a year or were not absent for more than 18 months during the whole duration.
