BANK LETTER REQUIRED?? plz help me!

Post by taurus_na » Tue Mar 19, 2013 5:25 am

my husband had applied T1 E 200k inside UK. Funds are in Pakistan third party's accont. solicitor has verify third party declaration letter/statutory declaration and affidavit of third party is attached with.
bank has issued letter that
"Customer could transfer this amount to United Kingdom on a request at any time during working hours of the Bank, at the rate of exchange prevailing on the date of transfer in case it is in a different currency.

The bank is regulated by the policies and procedures of the State Bank of Pakistan.

This certificate is issued as per explicit request of our customer and is without any risk or responsibility on the part of the bank or any of its officers/employees"
now i have to ask you guys bank has not written that money is transferable to the applicant (my husband)...
what you suggest he should ask bank to make letter of his name and send to UKBA or he should wait for decision??

The transferable part is covered in the above highlighted area, nothing to worry about that, but have they mentioned your husbands name in the letter.

the letter is a standard as per Pakistani banks, where bank managers cover them self in taking no liabilities.

as per UKBA the third party bank letter should clearly state the applicants name on there letter headed letter to UKBA/BHC etc

At least a line stating in the above letter should mention your husbands name.

Say like **

Mr.Your Husband has 200,000 available from the above mentioned third party for investment in the united kingdom on deposit with this financial institution.

Well that's fine declarations are the easy part , mainly bank letters are tricky, its thirdparty's bank account and UKBA needs applicants name on it.

Some time they become real silly and may react otherwise, have a look at this link.

Its better to be safe than sorry.

As I mentioned that it should at least state a single line in the above letter mentioning your husbands name against the money available to him.

He can always make a new letter from the bank with alterations and send it with a covering letter to the case worker(UKBA) explaining the situation and ask him to ignore the first bank letter which doesn't clearly mention his name and consider this letter for point scoring.

At most times the case workers do accept such documents either through mail or fax but he should get in touch with the case worker first then send the letter, hence they will have the understanding.

Or

You can always wait and do nothing and hope for the best.

good luck.
