schengen visa for spouse home country?

hi i would like to know, under eu family member can i apply for schengen visa for her home country? currently i'm in bangladesh and my wife is latvian. she is working in Cyprus for almost 2 years. we married in bangladesh. in bangladesh dont have any latvian embassy. so i was thinking maybe i can enter in latvia with schengen visa and register for long term residency.

For schengen visa you can refer to any available schengen country's embassy near to you.

thanx for your reply. As Sweden is the Representative of latvia in bangladesh and my destination will be latvia, so i will be consider as Eu family member for my spouse home country Like euro directive of free movement? or latvian national law will apply?

In that case you need to apply EEA family permit by fulfilling all the relevant requirements.

I think you need to write the relevant authorities and describe your circumstances then hopefully you might be able to know the best route and the relevant criteria.

What they told me it's contact in Latvian embassy in China and apply for d visa. For this I've to go in China. I even contact in email with the embassy but response and no body ans the phone.
