British Passport after MN1

Post by rockinter » Mon Mar 25, 2013 1:50 pm

Hi,
I was wondering can someone be refused a british passport after receiving british citizenship from MN1 form?

My baby was born in India and has received british citizenship, but it has been over 6 months since apply for the british passport. I have contacted the people in Delhi and they were asking for the father contact details which I do not have as I have divorced and have no contact with him.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

if you put any referee on passport form then contact them as likely case is that they have not replied yet,

my friend applied his daughter's passport inside uk and after 4 months, he chased up and came to know that local councilor has not confirmed the reference so he personally chased her up and passport came back in 4 weeks after reference confirmation

they can only ask for the information which is needed on form and if you have given the reason why information is not available then they should not object

Hi,
They contacted the reference within one week of putting in the application.
Worried how long it will take, as I have been waiting 6 months.

6 month is their maximum time (I think) if you haven't heard back yet then try contacting them by phone/email/post

Good Luck
