clarification regarding British citizenship

Hello All,

I have few clarification regarding British citizenship

My self and my family members got ILR June 2012.

I understood that I am eligible to apply naturalisation/BC on June 2013 (I need to have been physically present in the UK at the beginning of the 3/5 years residence period i.e. the day the HO receives your application 3/5 years back)

So for my wife and children were lived in UK only 3 years and they are with me now.

Clarification 1
1) Can I travel to outside UK after submitting my application? ( Lets assume I am submitting my application on June 2013 and making my travel to outside UK on the month Aug 2013)

2) Can I apply naturalisation for my children at the same time June 2013? they only lived in UK 3 years and My children and my wife got ILR status on the same time like me.

3) I understood that my wife can not eligible to apply naturalisation on June 2013 since she had completed only 3 years in UK. Is this correct?

Answer from Forum:
3. Yes however, once you are a bc then your wife can apply as you only need 3 years residency if married to a bc providing she meets the other eligibility.

4) Which application should I need to use?

because I thought of submitting my application and my children application on June 2013 and we are travelling outside UK on July2013.

Answer
yes, you need to submit your passport if applying by post. If you apply using NCS, they will photocopy all your documents and give you the originals (including passports) back.

yes, you need to submit your passports if applying by post. If you apply using NCS, they will photocopy all your documents and give you the originals (including passports) back.

Yes, possible if you use NCS to submit your application. Please also remember that you have to sbumti all passports if the passport used to enter UK is expired as they will need to see entry stamp.
