Hello again everyone, I am sorting out all my documents well in advance to make an application at the end of next month. At the moment I am trying to get a letter from my bank in my home country for my maintenance funds. By the looks of it I believe the letter should have the following information:
1. My full name
2. My account number
3. My Bank's name and Logo (I take it they want to see the letterhead)
4. The date of the letter
5. Proof that the amount has been in my account (under my name) for at least 90 days.
Now I have checked out that my bank is listed under the financial institution list, so UKBA is able to make satisfactory checks. OK so my question regarding this issue is regarding the conversion rate. Does my bank need to convert this amount into GBP, to prove it's over £900. If yes can my bank use their conversion system rather than OANDA? The reason why I am asking this is because the cash I have in this account is way over £900 and to get my bank to convert using OANDA seems a bit of an overkill.
I mean I don't want to get my application refused on the basis that my bank didn't use OANDA when clearly the amount is was way over £900, regardless of what currency exchange one may use.
Please can someone let me know if he/she got refused based on this OANDA nonsense? Lastly if I am missing something regarding this one document then please let me know. Cheers
