Tier 2 application form

I am on Tier 2 general and my visa expire date was 26th March 13. My employer has gave me new sponsor certificate number, I did apply my Tier 2 visa extension.
My question is I sent Tier 2 General application form instead of Tier 2 (W) Extension form. Also, i did my biometric in this morning. is this will be effect to visa application form ? Can I contact to Home office ?

please advice me as soon as possible.

Already, I did post it to home office but I used new starter/changed employment form instead of extension form. Also, I done my biomatric & waiting for result.

It will effect my visa ? Please give me reply.
