ILR for dependant

Hello friends
My wife who is on Tier 2 dependant had been away for 210 days from oct 2011 to May 2012, our entry in UK start from Oct 2008. So she has been away for more than 180 days in 12 consecutive months. Does this rule of 180 days apply on dependant as hardly as main applicant even when she is not working in this country? Is there any other way??
Please answer.

Dependednts are not required to meet the absence criteria.
