Citizenship Registration Certificate ?

Once I get a British passport, what remains the importance of the certificate ? Am I allowed/supposed to laminate it ? Where all may I need to present this document ?

Any thoughts ?

do not laminate it at any stage as adviced by HO it will get damaged.
They may ask you while applying for next passport, other agencies may as for it while in doubt that your passport is geniue.
