It seems that you're progressing quite well with your application. At least they're contacting you.

wish you all the best

If it is not too personal, can you tell me how much bank balance you had in the 3 month period leading up to ILR?

I am on a 5 year work permit - while my salary etc. is at par with the job and I satisfy all other rules, I don't have any savings. I pretty much spend all I earn!

While i understand that "Maintenance funds" are not a requirement for ILR, I am very nervous.

(I also have another thread, but thought I will ask you here)

what you generally can say,,,,UKBa has speed up processing time or it is because of workpermit

i am on same time scale but it is tier 1 basis,,,really you are lucky to have quick decision

Congratulations!!! And Thank you so much for sharing your update.

I was keen to know the timelines as I need to apply next month and have not been getting suitable appointment bookings. I was inclined to go postal route but wasn't sure about it.

I have 2 questions:
  • 1- SET(o) Work Permit:

Were you on Work Permit for all these 5 years from the point of entering in UK? What visa did you possess at the time of application?

I entered on Work Permit in June 2008, and Currently on Tier 2 IntraCompTransfer visa. I just want to confirm as I'm not sure should I apply as Work Permit or Tier 2 candidate.
  • 2 - SOC Letter
What were the contents of the letter you provided?

For some reason, My employer is not very keen on providing me this explicitly. I do have salary - employment proof letters stating my current Role. But it does not explicitly state the SOC Codes!
