They always take the full 6 months, probably on purpose. Best case scenario people get it one week before the 6 months, worst case a day or two after.Diomond wrote:Dear All,
Any body got any Idea that how long they are taking these days to issue 4eu fam to married couple.I know the legal time limit in 6 month, Any experience. Thanks
Thanks jeupsy, one more qesion,,jeupsy wrote:If you are like me, you will probably get a bit stressed and contact them a bit before the end (especially if you are a visa national or need the Stamp 4 to work, in which case a delay in getting the card can be fairly annoying).
Objectively it probably won't change much (my partner still go her letter 2 working days late and was on a forced holiday during that time), but it can't hurt to remind then you exist and get insurance that they haven't forgotten about you.
Thanks jeupsy, what about if some gets the approval letter from eu treaty rights but goes to get 5 years stamp and gnib card after 10 days ,and his temporary stamp expires 10 days ago , would be a problem??? or it doesnt make any difference???? thanksjeupsy wrote:If the passport is expiring in less than 5 years, they will give a stamp and a GNIB card which expire on the same day as the passport. But his residence right will still be the same and when he gets his new passport you can go there togheter again to get a new card and stamp for the rest of the 5 years.
If he can get his new passport before getting the stamp, it will save you a morning of waiting at the immigration office ... But if he can't it probably isn't a big deal.
There is no problem. Your approval letter is a permission to remain in the state. Registration with the GNIB can be done after month..Diomond wrote:Thanks jeupsy, what about if some gets the approval letter from eu treaty rights but goes to get 5 years stamp and gnib card after 10 days ,and his temporary stamp expires 10 days ago , would be a problem??? or it doesnt make any difference???? thanksjeupsy wrote:If the passport is expiring in less than 5 years, they will give a stamp and a GNIB card which expire on the same day as the passport.
