Apprenticeships for partners on spouse visas?

Post by nadiii » Fri Apr 12, 2013 1:06 pm

Are spouses allowed to undertage the government run apprenticeships scheme? (https://www.gov.uk/apprenticeships-guide)

from the website above:
An apprentice:
works alongside experienced staff
gains job-specific skills
earns a wage
studies towards a related qualification (usually 1 day a week)
Are the wage classed as public funds? Are the qualification study fees paid for by the government and classed as public funds?

Can you get on this scheme with a spouse visa?

Thank you in advance for any replies.

If they have a spouse visa, yes they can take apprenticeships or any full time job if they wanted to do
