Both her RC and mine have been issued and are dated April 15. So, basically, a total wait of 2 months and a week. Refer to the proper timeline of the application process in my signature for clarity's sake.

So glad this ordeal is finally over.

P.S. Thank you all for your support and, to those of you still waiting or applying now, good luck!
I applied EEA2 on 23 March 2013
CoA issued: 8 April 2013 received on 10 April 2013 with right to work.
Passport requested back: 8 April 2013.
RC: TBA

I requested passport back on same day I got CoA. However luckily my CoA was issued on 8th April 2013. I sent HO email requesting passport back on same day after 6 PM. :) coz I want to travel with my Partner to India for my brother's wedding.
Please do let me know which method did you use to request passport back? Email or by posting a printed letter?

Thanks a lot mate. I am tired of waiting and have not been working for 8 months now. It is really depressing. :(

EEA1 & EEA2 waiting games.

Post by A&A » Sat Apr 20, 2013 1:20 pm

Hey everyone,

Following is my timeline for EEA1 & EEA2 applications.

Applications sent: 02 Oct 2012.
Applications recieved by UKBA: 03 Oct 2012.
CoA dated: 12 Oct 2012.
CoA Recieved: 16 Oct 2012.
Interview Request by UKBA: 08 Apr 2013. (they gave us 20 hours notice to come for interview)
Interview held: 09 Apr 2013.
Called Liverpool for update: 12 Apr 2013.NO DECISION HAS BEEN TAKEN.
Home visit by UKBA: 16 Apr 2013. (they came to see us 0145 am).
Called again for update: 19 Apr 2013. NO DECISION HAS BEEN TAKEN.
Residence Certificate: Still waiting.

Please let me know if this is the normal protocol for them to grant visa to people who will pay tax & contribute to the national wealth.

What shall we do now after this long wait. Looks like they don't want to take any decision.

It's good to know some fortunate people here who applied this march already have the RC but what about people like us who have applied last year, have been waiting for more than 6 months & have undergone all possible spot checks.

I am seriously considering going back to my country with my husband & start a life there.

Shame on UKBA for not respecting the que & not handeling the back log properly.
:(
One God we believe in.

May he bless UKBA with thought to think before refusing any application.

I am really sorry to hear the way UKBA is treating you. I am on the same boat like many others. But in your case seems like they are playing Tom and Jerry with You.

2013 applications

Post by RC.... » Sat Apr 20, 2013 2:21 pm

GUYS AS I WAS READING THIS FORUM POST BY POST, SAW THE HO BACKLOG VIDEO ETC. I BELIEVE THE FOLLOWING:

I think (also from the video from HO) that when they receive applications 2013 they put them in 3 files- 1 file straightworward app to reject, 2 file straightword app to grant, 3- complicated app.

I think they are working on current 2013 application and in the meantime going back to 2012 applications (3- not straightforward ones).

I believe in this bec:

Regarding to this forum many of October app got home visits or interview
Many 2013 app got their CO in 3 weeks and then RC rejected or granted after 1,5 month..

Yes you are right. But why would they not just simply refuse it
So we an resend it back to them. At least would get the CoA to work.

This must be brought to there attention. I am going to email them saying that why are they sending RC to the people who append last month & delaying the ones who have applied for months.

This is madness.

When I wrote my complaints few weeks ago I asked same question and what they stated that some cases are more difficult and need more time to process. But it`s obvious that they opened our file after 6 months of our application. As you said it`s madness.

Hello,

May I ask why did they not let you work. What was the nature of the application.
Was it with married couple or unmarried couple.

Please tell us

Thank you.

Hello,

I am really disturbed to see your situation. At the moment do you have a valid visa. How are you supporting your self.

Can you please take some time & answer the following questions.

1. What time did the UKBA come?
2. How many officers came?
3. How long did they stay?
4. What did they say?
5. Were you both at home when thy came?
6. Were they polite?
7. Did they take any other evidence of employment or proof of residence?
8. What did they say?
9. Which area of UK do you live? (answer to this question will help me get an estimate which office they came from so we can warn others. This will also et an estimate how long it takes them to reach certain areas.)
10. How was the over all experice? If you could provide detail it would be appreciated.

I wish you all the best that you get your visa soon.

Please do share you experice.

Thankyou.
One God we believe in.

Dear A&A I hope after interview and home visit they will must issue your RC. U are absolutely right and we were prepared for everything. Specially when my partner is from not really favourite country.. We spent like 2 months to submit all papers. We are unmarried couple. We submited a lot of pictures, flights before we started living together, house contracts with 6 bills for each year, letters from friends and family, picture with family, joint bank account, calls from our numbers, emails, post letters.. I think it was fast because of Family permit..

What is your situation? On which basis have came to the UK? Was your visa expired? How long aftrr being married did you apply? Have you send some pictures or extra proofs? In wedding pictures- are there more people?

I am sure they will give it to you after all this stress!!

I would contact Rob.... People here said he was helpful..

I know how it is, my partner was rejected to visit my country, even he has my name in passport. My ambassy didnt know how to deal with unmarried couple..
