Canadian Spouse - Advice / information required

Post by lhrperson » Sat Apr 20, 2013 6:18 pm

Hi All,
AOA.

Thank you for bringing this useful information to the community.

I am a Pakistani national living in Pakistan (Lahore). well, I have known a girl for the last 3 or 4 years and we are planning to get married later this year.

I have been told that it takes 2 years at-least to get a spouse visa for canada (She is a canadian national).

She is currently working in canada on a good job, but after marriage wants to live in Pakistan for / until the time we both can re-locate together...

is this possible ?
What documents will be required as she would have resigned from her current company to live in Pakistan, can we apply for a spouse / marriage visa for the groom so that they can travel together and start a life in canada ?

I have another question but that is related to UK (and for a friend) similar situation for him as well . . . . his future wife is a british national and he lives and works in dubai - so if she joins him in dubai and is not working how can she sponsor her ?

Will be most grateful for your suggestions / advise on this .. ..

Basically the central idea is that we don't want to live separate for such a long time after marriage ...

many thanks
Kamran

Have a look at this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/ ... spouse.asp It's current and will guide you thru the whole process.

In regards of your friends, they might have to go thru the difficult UK immigration laws.
Life is short, so let's get moving!
