Early Extension - Problem for ILR ??

Post by azhar_new2004 » Thu Apr 25, 2013 10:58 am

Hi All,

My Visa Expires on May 25th (next month). I have applied for extension and got my acknowledgement and Biometric enrollment letter yesterday. If I enroll my biometrics today and if I get my visa approval dated 5th of May (for example). Will it be a problem for ILR. because I might have completed 4 years 11 months and 10 days. Do I have to do another extension?. Any suggestion much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Azhar

Perhaps a problem.

Can I wait for couple of weeks and then enroll my Biometrics so can make sure my approval date falls after my current expiry date.

I know within 15 working days I have to enroll biometrics. If I have failed to do so, what will be my next step.

It seems they are processing applications too quick now. Even if you enroll biometric on the 15th day which would be 10th May. You can still get approval within a week, leaving you short of full qualifying period for ILR.

Try and delay it till the last day. Don't miss it though. And hope for the best. A lot is at the descretion of the case workers. So you might get lucky.

Sorry to bother you all again.

I see this in the ILR section.

"Please do not send us your application more than 28 days before the end of your qualifying period. "

According to my knowledge, I can apply for ILR if I am completed 4 years 11 months and 3 days which makes me to apply 27 days before the end of my qualifying period.

Am I right? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks,
Azhar
