I finally got my ILR and lots of appreciation for all the guys who moderate on the is forum and the wise counsel which is always clear and precise. I went on and applied for my dependants and just got the documents returned today and hopefully the the BRP will arrive in the week. I however have that of my son which I applied separately though the BRP had expired, having considered that he was born here and therefore the rules for overstaying his visa would not apply, if I ham to be correct here, someone can advse.
Once again, this forum is a good learning platform and will always consult
